LADY GAGA'S MONSTER BALL - NICK KNIGHT - RUTH HOGBEN

As part of her Monster Ball world tour, Lady Gaga with Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben created a number of films to use as part of her on-stage performance and as interludes in the epic show. Building film into the architectonic feeling of the Monster Ball tour, these four films explore notions of fame, iconicism and life in an evolving metropolis. RACISM - 'UNTITLED' BY NICK KNIGHT

Featuring Naomi Campell in this mute film, Nick Knight chooses to tackle the outright taboo subject of racism in the fashion industry. Despite increasing diversity throughout contemporary society, is is undoubtedly true that black or asian or middle easten models feature in fashion far less than their white counterpoints. Nick's film not only questions this, but as a fashion 'insider' takes the industry to task over one of the last arenas where racism is apparently a tacitly-accepted fact of life. A very powerful film.
