Outfit of the Day: Hello Kitty T-Shirt + Yasashii Pink Plastic Straw Bag

Went out to meet my ex-colleague + friend today. This is my outfit!

Hello Kitty wide Neck T-shirt, grey jeggings, white round toe low heels and Yasashii pink handwoven plastic straw bag.

Matched with a bright pink beach bag!

Wide, spacious bag

All Yasashii bags come with a charm like this

Bought a fluffy bear accessory to match (also from Yasashii)

As the bag doesn't have a zip, I thought it is better that I put my keys & money etc in pouches

Hello Kitty ones! Got them last minute at the airport

A little encounter I had with the Hello Kitty pouches. When I stepped into the shop, I saw these right away, and thought that it would be perfect for my Yasashii bag. I wanted to use up the TWD in my wallet so these would be perfect. Just as I was browsing through other stuff in the store, Miss Long Legs in Shorts came in and picked up the bigger one. I panicked as I had a feeling that it might be the last one. So stupid me asked the SA for a new piece, both the big and small one (I should have just waited for the girl to put it down). The SA looked through the cabinet and said, 'Sorry, that is the last one.'

Ok. So, as you know, when we know we are holding on to the last piece of something pretty and you get a 'competitor', you are not going to put the thing down. Realising how silly I was to let Miss L.L.S know that I wanted that pouch, I decided to walk out of the shop, hoping that she would put it down. Of course she didn't, told her boyfriend, '好可爱哦!' ('This is so cute!') and paid for the pouch. Ok, it was a totally bimbotic and bitchy moment, but I really hated her then, and started criticising how plain she looked to my husband. Opps… sorry Miss L.L.S….

Dejected, I went to browse the cosmetic store, was still really upset, and decided to go back to the Hello Kitty store to get something else. And guess what I saw… yes the pouches!! Apparently, the SA didn't know where the stock was kept, and SA2 happened to know where it was. So… I got the pouches! And new ones!

Really small, insignificant incident, but there are just some things sometimes, you know, people see in stores that they just like, versus have to have! These HK pouches were one of the have to have for me!

Hello Kitty x Sexylook Limited Edition Masks

This is number 1 of my Post-Taipei posts =D

Hello Kitty limited edition masks! Best thing is… it's made by one of my favourite brands of masks - Sexylook. Yup I know I know… the brand name sounds cheesy. In fact, most cosmetic products with the word 'sexy' in their brand name usually make me think twice before buying. To make things worse, 'sexy + look' just sound too literal! Haha! But I am glad I picked up their masks.

Sexylook is a Taiwanese brand founded in 2008. I have only tried their whitening mask before this, but I already think that they make one of the best masks I have ever used.

As the packaging has everything written in Chinese (including product name), I try my best to translate most product information and its uses to English =D

Each box contains 7 masks. I got 2 boxes with NT299 (approx SGD13). It was buy 1 get 1 free! Cheap, isn't it???

Ingredients

Product name: Brightening Firming White Rose Double Lifting Mask (literal translation…sorry! Please let me know if you know the product's English name. Many thanks! ^^)

Product use:
1. White rose extract helps to moisturise and brighten skin for a radiant, translucent effect. Together with skin lifting formula, skin becomes soft, smooth and firm.

2. Collagen and hyaluronic acid maintain skin's moisture level and elasticity.

My take on this:

Three words.

I LOVE IT!

This mask is great. Firstly, the mask feels great. It has a light floral scent, which is pleasant, which I love. I enjoy the scent the whole time I had the mask on. There is a refreshing sensation when I was doing the mask, not like some masks that just feel 'wet' on face, so that I want to tear the mask off already. After 20 minutes, my face is visibly brightened and smooth. Texture just look great, and I can feel that skin is 'bouncy' and moisturised. The essence of the mask left on the skin easily absorbs when I massage it in, and does not leave any greasy after feel. When I follow with my usual whitening essence, my skin does not feel extra oily, like some masks would.

Score: 5/5! Great results, best value, adorable packaging!

Ingredients

Product name: Ultra Moisturising Pink Sakura Double Lifting Mask

Product use:
1. Cherry (box says 'cherry', not 'sakura'. I am confused…) and strawberry polyphenol minimises large pores, smoothening and improving skin texture .

2. Collagen and hyaluronic acid moisturise skin from within

My take on this:

I haven't tried this yet. Will update once I have!

Anyway, these are called 'double lifting' masks because of their unique 'cheek and chin lift' mask design:

As I am not very sure how to describe how to put this on, I let the picture below do the job:

When I hook the 'ear holes' of the mask over my ears, I feel a tight pulling effect, so I guess that creates the lifting effect of the chin. When I remove the mask, I am not sure whether my face is lifted or not, but I guess the mask design makes me feel that it has, psychologically…? =p As the mask is pulled tightly across the face, the mask does not really fit the nose area well. But that can be easily fixed by making 2 cuts on either sides of the nose bridge of the mask with my scissors.

Hello Kitty Mini Speaker!

I got this extremely Kawaii Hello Kitty mini speaker from Challenger today! It's $59.90.

Comes with a white small pouch and USB cable

When speaker is fully charged, you can just connect the audio jack to the audio port of your computer. Absolutely fuss free! The USB cable is only needed when you need to charge the speaker.

I am not sure how this 'spring' (?) works, but I guess the sound of the speaker is better with it…?

This type of mini speaker has been around for some time, but it's the first time I come across a Hello Kitty one! As a super Hello Kitty fan, I just have to have it. It's very practical for me as well, as I like watching videos on my MacBook, so a mini speaker becomes really handy! Challenger has it in 2 colors, white or pink. I thought the pink one is prettier.

Do you feel like getting yourself one now…?

Anyway, I am off to Taipei tomorrow, and I swear I am going to bring back Jill Stuart cosmetics! I can't wait! Cya in a while's time ^^

Hello Kitty 2011 Calendar

Yesterday I was at Vivo City and dropped by Sanrio to look for any cute Hello Kitty new arrivals. As I was on a tight budget, I only picked up 2 calendars for 2011. There were so many styles to choose from (including Little Twin Stars), I simply couldn't make up my mind for a long time. Finally, I settled on these.

This calendar is around A4 size. It's a hanging calendar. SGD13.95

12 different Kitty designs. Really pretty.

There is a 2012 calendar on the last page.

There is a small pouch for putting important papers and envelops on the last page of the calendar.

Stickers provided to paste on special dates!

This is for table top. Only SGD11.95! I intend to put it on my office table next year.

Different Kitty every month!

I really can't wait to use these calendars!

I also exchanged my Sanrio membership points for this mini teapot set. Honestly I have no idea what to do with it. But since my membership points were expiring, I had no choice but to redeem them.

I enjoyed my trip to Sanrio thoroughly. I just wished I could purchase more!

Hello Kitty Handphone Accessories

I LOVE Hello Kitty!

About a few months back, I discovered this amazing place where I can get all sorts of Sanrio handphone accessories from Japan. This wonderful online shop is Strapya World. One of the best things they sell (for me) is the decoration kit. Each kit includes gems, pearls, hearts, ribbons and Kitty for you to paste onto and decorate your phone! An example of what I have created with their DIY kit is this:

Hello Kitty Princess Decoden Perfect Kit (Princess Kitty Sweets), 1980JPY (23.20USD)

I bought the kit for my iPhone3GS. I got a separate white handphone cover to paste the gems over it. As the handphone is rather big, the gems and pearls they provided were not enough to cover the whole phone, so I added some of my own gems. The polka dot ribbon you see in the pic is my own as well. If you have a flip phone this will be perfect! If you have a phone that is smaller than the iPhone, there will definitely be enough gems and pearls to go around.

I also have this other kit (not Hello Kitty) called Princess Decoden Perfect Kit (Flower Bear) which I haven't used yet. I intend to save it for my iPhone 4 (purchasing next year)!

Princess Decoden Perfect Kit (Flower Bear), 1480JPY (17.40USD)

Pearls, gems and bear will be arranged nicely in a plastic casing!

My most recent purchases with them are the Hello Kitty iPhone casings for 3G/3GS.

Sanrio Hello Kitty Sweets Hard Case for iPhone 3G/3GS (Black), 1580JPY
(18.50 USD)

Sanrio Hello Kitty Soft Jacket for iPhone 3G/3GS (Black), 1980JPY
(23.20USD)

I also got a screen protector to match the casings.

Sanrio Hello Kitty Protect Sticker for iPhone 3G/3GS (Black), 680JPY (8.00USD)

Straypa World ships internationally and they charge a standard shipping fee. So I guess it is more worth it to buy more each time as they charge the same amount of shipping for 1 item purchase or 10 items purchase!

HAPPY SHOPPING @ Strapya World =D
